Central Boca Raton Real Estate
The central hub of Boca Raton is located around the intersections of I-95 and Palmetto Park Road, Glades Road and Yamato Road, and this central residential section refers to the area generally between I-95 and the Florida Turnpike.
Commercial and research and development parks hug either side of I-95 as it curves its way through Boca Raton. Florida Atlantic University, Town Center Mall and several office parks, plus the Boca Raton Executive Airport center around the Glades Road interchange. The Arvida Park of Commerce, Blue Lake Corporate Center (former IBM complex), plus several other industrial parks center around the Yamato Road interchange.

Boca Raton’s inland communities are in great demand, especially with the city at buildout and very little vacant land available for new construction. This area saw the advent of master planned communities of substantial acreage and a broad range of housing styles going back to the days when Arthur Vining Davis (Arvida Corp.) and Texaco Oil bought up hundreds of acres of land. Texaco originally owned the land south of Glades Road known today as Boca del Mar, Boca Pointe and Boca Grove Plantation (pictured). The tracts were each sold to different developers and builders with construction generally starting in the late 1970’s / early 1980’s.
