Black Friday Shopping and Small Business Saturday in Fort Pierce
Shopping is usually the biggest thing to do the days after Thanksgiving – Black Friday and Small Business Saturday events can be found across the Treasure Coast, but other Christmas and holiday things to do are happening in St. Lucie, Indian River and Martin counties.

St. Lucie County
Heathcote Botanical Garden’s fifth annual Garden of Lights kicks off this weekend at 210 Savannah Road, Fort Pierce. It lasts from 5:30-9 p.m. every Friday and Saturday through the end of December, as well as two Sundays, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22. Enjoy colorful light displays throughout the 5-acre gardens, as well as refreshments, entertainment, Heathcote the Bear and appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets are $8 for non-members, $5 for members, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for kids younger than 6. No dogs allowed. For more information, call 772-464-4672 or go to heathcotebotanicalgardens.org.
Holiday Lights Spectacular kicks off in Downtown Ft Pierce 6-9 p.m. Friday at Marina Square, 1 Avenue A. It continues 6-9 p.m. nightly until the first week of January. More than 100,000 lights wrapped around palm trees are synchronized to Christmas music. For more information, call 772-465-4170.

Martin County
Christmas on Main Street with Stuart Main Street and the Downtown Business Association is 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Riverwalk Stage behind City Hall, 121 S.W. Flagler Ave., Stuart. It features the Christmas tree lighting ceremony, Santa Claus, do-it-yourself photos, Florida Arts & Dance Academy performances, face painting, a bounce house, Islamorada Beer Company sleigh rides, live holiday music, cookies and hot chocolate, and beer and food for sale. The 25th annual Art in the Park Art & Fine Craft Show is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Memorial Park, 300 S.E. Ocean Blvd., Stuart. It has nearly 80 artists and exhibitors, including local artists and artists who traveled to Stuart to participate, a children’s arts-and-crafts area and art-educational displays. Indian River County
The Black Friday Shop and Chew is 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday at the Vero Beach Outlets, 1824 94th Drive, west of Vero Beach. The Chow Down Food Trucks are serving breakfast, lunch and dinner from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The outlets are closed Thursday for the first time in more than a decade to let employees enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday. The outlets are open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. For more information, go to verobeachoutlets.com.
The Black Friday Sale and Lagoonians Club Kickoff is noon Friday to midnight at Walking Tree Brewery, 3209 Dodger Road, Vero Beach. The sale includes discounts on beer, bottles, gift cards and club membership. Only 150 slots are available for the new Lagoonians Membership Club packed with perks.
