Interesting software application that uses a free secure wireless push technology to send email and personal information management to your cellular phone. Normally you can configure your cellular phone to periodically send and receive email message. Emoze instead uses your computer and your email software program to send emails to your cellular phone. The periodic checks are completed on your computer, when your computer receives a new message, the emoze software then sends a copy to your cellular phone. All you need is the www.Emoze.com client installed and configured on your computer!
To configure the software is incredibly simple. All you need is to download the client for your phone type and model, create an account with emoze, and configure which email account to use (it automatically detected my default Outlook account and settings). You can also modify what information you want sycronized, such as Calendar, Contacts, Inbox, Sent Items, and Tasks. After installing emoze on your computer, you will need to configure an “emoze” account on your cellular phone. The service is compatible with an incredibly large assortment of phones on the market today, as well as older models. It performs all mail and PIM operations, such as deleting mail, moving messages between folders, creating and updating your contacts, and much more. If you make changes on your cellular phone, they are synchronized back to your desktop.
From the FAQ section, on Emoze’s site, the company is very concerned about privacy and user data, it does not use cookies, spyware, there is no duplication of user data on emoze servers, using encryption technologies where possible. Emoze is compatible with Microsoft Mobile or Symbian devices that have a GPRS or other data connection with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes Domino servers and POP3 online email services such as Hotmail, Yahoo! and Gmail. There is also the ability to send and receive attachments, although the limit at this time is 1MB. This is normally sufficient for most communications of a word document or small image file. The only drawback is it necessary to keep your computer on and Microsoft Outlook open and connecting to your mail server to receive the updates via Emoze, unless you are using a Microsoft Exchange Server for your work environment, then it is not necessary.
Easy to install, configure and use! Simple and intuitive software.
