Boca Raton Waterfront Condos
Boca Raton’s waterfront lifestyle includes oceanfront condos and intracoastal condos, in mid-rise to high-rise buildings. They offer a more moderate alternative to single family waterfront living, with gorgeous views of ocean and city, ease of maintenance and a more viable alternative for the second home buyer. They also began their development in the 1960’s. Most of them line the oceanfront in Boca Raton, and in Highland Beach north of Spanish River Blvd., fronting both the ocean and intracoastal. Floor plans generally range from 1 to 3 bedroom units with some larger penthouses, offered as furnished or unfurnished, and prices ranging mostly from $200,000 to about $2 million. Some of the more exclusive buildings like 1000 Ocean, Luxuria and Excelsior go as high as $8 – 9,000,000.
Condominiums South of the Boca Inlet:
The Addison Condos’ twin 16-story towers are located on a choice 10-acre oceanfront site. Prices range from $800,000 to over $3 million. Each building is designed with only 6 units per floor, ranging in size from 2,156 to 3,117 square feet, and to over 6,000 sq. feet for double units. All the units offer panoramic views of the beach to the east and Boca’s wonderful city scape to the west.
The Aragon is a most unique luxury condominium. There are only 41 residences in 3 – 10-story buildings but they look like one building. There are 12 customized floor plans, some of them double units, 2-story courtyard homes and penthouses with rooftop gardens; and most have their own swimming pool and spa. Prices range from $1 to over 5 million.
The Cloisters, Placide, Luxuria, Stratford Arms, Ocean Towers (formerly Whitehall South) and Three Thousand South are all located south of the Boca Inlet.
There are three condo complexes directly on Camino Real fronting on Lake Boca Raton: Boca Inlet, Lake House South and Carlton. These residences also range from approximately $200,000 to over $1,000,000 at the Carlton.
North of the Boca Inlet and The Boca Beach Club
One Thousand Ocean
1000 Ocean is Boca Raton’s newest condominium located at the very southern tip of Ocean Blvd and the north end of the Boca Inlet. It has fabulous ocean views, views of the Inlet Waterway and the Inlet Park, and also fantastic views all the way down Boca’s Beach. It has 50 units in a half circle shape that maximizes views for all the units. Units range in price from about $2.5 million to almost $9 million.
Directly north of the Beach Club is Presidential Place, an exclusive luxury complex of only 42 residences on 700 feet of private oceanfront. Prices range to over $5 million. These are larger units than most condos on the beach – up to almost 5,000 air conditioned square feet. A major benefit of owning here is that you can join the membership for the Boca Raton Resort (which includes the Beach Club) and just walk over to the Beach club and also have many of the catering services the Beach Club and hotel offers.
The Excelsior is one of Boca’s newest luxury condominium located on a premier site overlooking Lake Boca Raton and the ocean. It offers only 27 exclusive residences in a 10 story Mizner style building, with elegant floor plans of approximately 4,300 to 5,200 sq ft. Elegant finishes include top of the line interior appointments, luxurious amenities and world class service, each opening onto expansive terraces. Prices range from $2.4 to $8-9 million.
Also developed by Arvida are the three oceanfront buildings of The Sabals, located on a premier oceanfront site opposite Lake Boca Raton and The Boca Raton Resort. There are 5 large custom single family homes directly on Lake Boca (and seen in this picture).
The Chalfonte, Beresford, and Marbella are three other first class buildings on this great part of Boca’s beach. Prices range from the mid- $600,000’s to over $1,000,000.
North of Palmetto Park Road
The Boca Raton beach area contains 5 major beach parks offering abundant open spaces for nearby residences and visitors, plus picnic areas, and gazebos: The South Inlet Park is located at the south opening of the Boca Raton Inlet. North of Sea Ranch is the small oceanfront town of Highland Beach
Highland Beach has a mix of garden apartments and townhomes and high-rise condominiums fronting both the ocean and intracoastal. Prices range from the mid- $150,000’s to $2 million plus in a mix of small to large buildings.
