Boca Raton is well known for it’s gated luxury golf country clubs with their award-winning golf courses, resort-style amenities, and beautiful homes and condos, offering fabulous golf and waterfront views.
Addison Reserve is an upscale, gated country club community of 653 acres with 3 championship golf courses, alluring lakes and landscaped vistas, a fabulous Grand Clubhouse and Esplanade sports center designed to revive the early aura of Addison Mizner. Magnificent luxury single family residences and custom estate homes range in price from the low $400,000’s to over $3 million.
St. Andrews Country Club is one of Boca’s finest single family golf course communities, with only 739 estate homes on 800 acres. Homes range from $400,000+ to approximately $5.5 million, many are custom designed and on over sized lots. Amenities include a 70,000 sq. ft. clubhouse that was just recently renovated, 2 golf courses, fitness center and tennis courts and much more.
Boca Grove Plantation is a smaller exclusive community of only 400 families on 300 acres. Their master plan uniquely incorporated existing orange groves into the landscaping and common areas. Prices range from $135,000 to the multi-millions. There is a small condominium complex, but most home styles include patio and villa homes, and single family and estate homes. Amenities include an 18 golf course, an elegant clubhouse, and a Tennis & Swim club. Residents have many choices – casual and gourmet dining, an active calendar of social events, and a state of the art fitness center.
Boca del Mar today is comprised of approximately 2,000 acres located generally on either side of Palmetto Park Road. Some of the individual communities are gated. Home styles include luxury rental communities, condominiums, townhomes and villas, patio homes and single family homes. Prices generally range from under $100,000 to about $500,000. There is a private golf course and tennis club, but it is open to all residents of the area and not limited to Boca del Mar residents.
Boca Pointe is an 1,100 acre community that boasts very extensive and active amenities including golf, tennis, fitness center, swimming center, and a newly renovated clubhouse. With 1,200 homes, a wonderful variety of lifestyles are available in condos and garden apartments, townhomes and villas, and single family, priced from $100,000 to approximately $600,000. Estate homes in the Encantada section can go to over $1 million.
Arvida owned most of the land north of Glades including Boca West, Broken Sound, and a handful of small neighborhood subdivisions from just south of Glades Road north to Yamato Road.
Boca West was started in the early 1970’s and was Boca’s original and premier resort and country club community, an extension of the facilities of Arthur Vining Davis’ Boca Resort and Club. Its 1,400 acres have over 3,000 units meandering amongst the fairways of 4 award winning golf courses and 30 tennis courts; and there is a fabulous, grand clubhouse, state-of-the-art fitness center and lavish spa. Boca West’s home styles offer garden apartments and mid-rise condos, townhomes and villas, single family homes. The exclusive enclave of The Island with only 10 estate homes tucked away and accessible only by a bridge.
Broken Sound’s development by Arvida followed the build out of Boca West. It started in the mid-1980’s and was a slightly lower density of 1,600 homes on 1,000 acres, offering some quad-style condos, attached patio homes, villas and single family, where Boca West also offered more townhomes and condominiums. Its 27 neighborhoods provide choices for every size family. Prices range from about $100,000 to more than $2 million.
The clubs offer an array of amenities: an elegant dining room with panoramic golf course views, 2 championship golf courses, and a tennis and aquatic club with 20 tennis courts, 2 pools and a health and fitness center.
The Polo Club is a very diverse and active country club community of 1,300 homes on 800 acres, ranging from small condos of $200,000+ to new large estate homes of $1+ million in Vintage Oaks. Amenities include two 18-hole golf courses, a full service 90,000 sq. ft. club house, with 36 tennis courts, fitness center/pool area and dining facilities.
Bocaire and Delaire are 2 intimate communities of about 250 single family homes each in which all homes face either golf course or shimmering lakes. The clubhouses also include tennis and dining facilities and home prices range from $350,000 to more than $1 million.
Woodfield Country Club is a community of 1,000 homes on 830 acres, with an 18-hole golf course, the Cascades clubhouse and recreation center, tennis courts and fitness center. Home styles include patio and courtyard homes, and single family residences with prices ranging from $250,000 to approximately $3 million. Some of the larger estate homes are close to $6 million. Many of the individual communities offer the Addison Mizner Mediterranian style and architectural details.
The Woodfield communities were developed in several phases. Woodfield Hunt Club’s 2 neighborhoods are outside of the main country club and do not have access to their amenities. The Hunt Clubs are comprised of 328 single family homes ranging from $350,000 to more than $1 million. Amenities include a tennis club and several lakes that provide wonderful waterfront views.
