Boca Raton and Delray Beach Country Clubs
July 2020 Club and Amenity Updates

Contents
Almost all Country Clubs in South Florida and probably all of Florida closed their clubhouses and golf / tennis / spa facilities in the height of the Covid-19 breakout in March and April.
Highlights of Club Openings
- In March and April, dining rooms were all closed for in house dining but they offered a takeout menu and many had weekend “themed” menus, for example, for July 4th, etc, plus choosing different themes to offer some interesting variety on other weekends. They started additional virtual and video activities on their Facebook pages like golf tips, wellness tips and yoga classes. They posted their themed weekend takeout choices and some offered cooking classes.
- As the cities started to re-open they began limited use of golf and tennis. Social distancing guidelines were followed regarding number of people allowed in a room for 6 ft distancing, masks were highly recommended but were not required until the counties implemented requirements to wear them in all inside facilities and outdoors where the 6 feet could not be implemented.
- Covid Cases and deaths have been increasing again in Florida as re-openings proceeded and many have now been more restrictive. I have been checking with the different clubs to see their requirements as of July, 2020. I will do ongoing updates to this post as I find out more or the situation changes.
- Many of them have the clubhouse and dining rooms closed for inside congregating, but still offer takeout and weekend themes. Other club amenities like golf, fitness, spa, and pool use are limited as before or only by appointment.
- I noticed many listings have added additional club and golf pictures to give you an idea of the club’s features.
Country Club July Statuses of Openings

- Broken Sound had planned a $30 million renovation that was supposed to start in April. It was postponed but they are now emptying the inside furnishings etc and plan on starting in September.
- Golf, fitness, tennis, spa and pool are available by appointment, otherwise the club is closed.
- Dining is offered by takeout but they had a post that the Bistro is available for outside dining and showed the tables set apart to at least 6 feet.
- The clubhouse and amenities are also closed to guests, non-members and realtors for showings.
Addison Reserve
- Addison Reserve has no renovations or work going on at this time. The Lifestyle Center was completed in late 2019.
- Golf, fitness, tennis, spa and pool are available by appointment, otherwise the club is closed.
- Dining is offered by takeout.
- The clubhouse and amenities are also closed to guests, non-members and realtors for showings.
This post will be updated to include the other country clubs in Boca and Delray but they are all quite similar to the general guidelines above.
